The Internationalist Law Center works to make the global majority’s needs a reality.
We do this by launching campaigns that simultaneously utilize litigation, policy advocacy, and community organizing to ensure public funds (i.e. taxpayer dollars, pension funds, and charitable donations) invested from the U.S. South are divested from human rights violations in the Global South.
The ILC’s work does not just fight for divestment, but re-investment: our campaigns ensure that these funds divested from human rights violations are reinvested into the local needs of U.S. communities and reparations for communities harmed by the original investment in the Global South.
